Knitting Group
Over the last several years, the group has been very ably led by Keela Rogers, with support from additional parishioners. Most recently, their focus has been on knitting scarves for teddy bears which are donated to hospitals, rehab centers, and other appropriate places where a teddy bear can offer comfort to a saddened or Ill child or adult. At knitting session every week, each person contributes $2.00. That accumulated money is then contributed to the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Lake Placid periodically, usually between $600 and $1200 a year.
Community Tag Sale
A new and recent event is the Community Tag Sale. The first one in 2022 was a great success. Closets got cleaned out, items were passed on to people who could use them instead of throwing them in the dump, and donations were accepted.
More Outreach Activities
-
Fundraising Dinners
Another major focus is our regular fundraising dinners. Parishioners spearhead and cook for these dinners. Funds are raised to contribute to needy causes, including The World Central Kitchen, the Syrian American Medical Society, hurricane relief for the Caribbean, the International Medical Corps, and many others. The money generated is wonderful and the fellowship during the meals is unmatched.

Donations
Knitted items, cards, and books bring in addition funds, as well as memorial bequests to St. Eustace. Former fundraisers have included a Strawberry Arts Festival, bazaars, teas, and auctions. Funds raised are used to support the North Elba Community Christmas Fund, the Dominican Republic mission trip, and the Educational Opportunity Fund. One time needs are also support them, such as AuSable Valley Habitat for Humanity, fire relief, and more.

External Assistance
Outreach also invests in KIVA, an international loan program to help people starting or expanding their businesses around the world, focusing mostly on women's businesses and agricultural needs. Most loans are in $25 increments and the repay/reinvestment rate is very good.
